The team was helped a lot during the 1970s by officer Tiécoro Bagayoko, a prominent member of the ruling military dictatorship of president Moussa Traoré. Many critics of Djoliba AC, especially coming from the rival Stade Malien, claim that the strength of the club was built during that period.

However, Tiekoro Bagayoko was gone in 1978 after his arrest, yet Djoliba kept obtaining titles and cups. Today, it is reputed to be the biggest and the most organized soccer club in Mali.

«كانت البداية صعبة كادت أن تعصف بفكرة الهلال.. كنت أستفيد من تجارب السنوات.

العشر الماضية عند تأسيس الشباب عام 1367 هـ كان مجرد انتسابك للرياضة نهاية مؤسفة.. لقد انسقنا إلى هذا العمل بمحض إرادتنا وبإيماننا أن الرياضة تعادل السياسة.. كان سلاحنا وقتئذ الحكمة القائلة (أعقل الناس أعذرهم للناس) كنا لا نطلب مالاً لأن المال في ذلك الوقت شحيح جداً ولا يوجد لاعبين يرضوا ان ينتسبوا لهذا الفريق الجديد ويتركوا فريق الشباب، فتم إفناع اغلب لاعبي فريق الشباب لينضموا للفريق الجديد، وكاد هذا الاجراء ان يعصف بفريق الشباب، وبالتالي يمكن تسمية ان فريق الأولمبي (الهلال) حاليا منشق من فريق الشباب.

عاد " الأولمبي " يبني نفسه عاماً كاملاً بحذر وخوف وغياب عن اللقاءات في مباريات ودية أو خيرية مع الأندية الأخرى خاصة المهمة منها كالشباب والأهلي بالرياض رغم كثرة مطالبات تلك الأندية بملاقاة " الأولمبي " إلا أنه رفضها ومن هذه الخطابات ما هو مؤرخ في 2 / 8 / 1377 هـ و 10 / 10 / 1377 هـ و 14 / 10 / 1377هـ و 18 / 10 / 1377 هـ و 15 / 6 / 1378هـ و 23 / 7 / 1378 هـ وبقي يستعد في تمارين قوية ومكثفة مع التخطيط لمستقبل أفضل بعد أن انضم إليه عدد كبير من اللاعبين معظمهم من نادي الشباب الذي بدأت فيه الاستقالات يوماً بعد يوم حتى وصلت إلى ما يقارب نصف الفريق.

ويجان أتلتيك، هو نادي كرة قدم إنجليزي مقره بلدة ويجان، التي تقع في محيط مدينة مانشستر. يلعب الفريق في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز وقد أنهى موسم 2006-2007 في المرتب 17. صعد الفريق لأول مرة للدوري الممتاز في أعقاب موسم 2004- 2005. أنهى الفريق موسم 2005-2006 في المرتبة العاشرة ولعب نهائي كأس الرابطة أمام مانشستر يونايتد، لكنه إنهزم 4-0. لعب له سابقاً المصريان عمرو زكىوميدو.

نادي مانشستر يونايتد نادى انجليزى لكرة القدم فقط , ملعبه هو الاولد ترافورد ( مسرح الاحلام ) بمدينة مانشستر ,ويعتبر من اشهر اندية العالم حيث لديه حوالى 330 مليون مشجع حول العالم ، اى حوالى 5 % من اجمالى البشرية كلها ,إنضم مانشستر يونايتد الى بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز عام 1992 و هى سنة تاسيسه ,ولعب اليونايتد بدورى الدرجة الاولى بشكل متتالى منذ عام 1938 باستثناء عام 1975 ,وقد كانت معدلات حضور الجمهور الاعلى بانجلترا باستثناء بضعة سنوات . وبتفاعل المشكلة عرض هولدينج حلولا على إدارة الفريق منها شراء ملعب ((أنفيلد)) وبعض الأبنية المحيطة التي قد تكون مفيدة للنادي ، لكن ((الايفرتونيين)) لم يعجبهم سعر البيع ، والذي كان حينها مبالغا فيه!! واحتدمت المشكلة ورفض هولدينج التفاوض على السعر رغم انه منح إدارة النادي فرصة الدفع المؤجل إلى حين بدأ الحصول على أرباح ، قررت غالبية أعضاء الإدارة واللاعبين الرحيل وتأسيس ملعب آخر خاص بهم ، وفعلا في عام 1892 رحل ايفرتون عن ((أنفيلد)) فتأزمت مشكلة هولدينج الذي سرعان ما قرر تأسيس فريق خاص به واسماه في الأصل ((ايفرتون)) أيضا ، لكن بعد اعتراضات ومشادات ، قرر في 15 مارس 1892 تسمية الفريق ((ليفربول))، على اسم المدينة كاملة وليس فقط على اسم المحافظة . وفي العام التالي انظم إلى أندية الدوري الإنجليزي.


أسس الفريق شخص يدعى جون هولدينج ، وكان عضوا في البرلمان البريطاني وعمدة المدينة ومالك أكبر مصانع للمشروبات الروحية ، وأيضا كان مالك ملعب ((أنفيلد)) فقبل العام 1892 كان ايفرتون النادي الاحترافي الوحيد في مدينة ليفربول وكان ملعبه الرسمي هو ((أنفيلد))الذي يملكه هولدينج ، لكن خلافات نشبت بين الطرفين في العام 1890 قادت إلى رحيل ايفرتون من الملعب ، بعدما أراد هولدينج رفع إيجار استخدام الملعب وفرض بيع المشروب الذي كانت تصنعه مصانعه فقط في الملعب ، ما قاد إلى استياء أعضاء إدارة ايفرتون ، رغم أن هولدينج كان لا يزال منقذ الفريق ماديا عندما كان بحاجة لشراء لاعبين جدد أو تحسين ظروف مركز التدريب . ورفع هولدينج الإيجار مجددا من 100 جنيه سنويا كان يدفعها ايفرتون منذ العام 1884 إلى 250 جنيها بحلول العام 1892 .
